The Peterborough-based company has produced over 300 sports racing cars. In it's first year
of production, the Radical SR3 has set new standards of performance and handling. The car has
become the benchmark by which all extreme sportscars must be judged.
The full-race SR3 Supersport has proven to be the world's fastest one-make sports racing car,
lapping circuits at near Formula 3 times, providing discerning club racers with the ultimate driving
experience at a very competitive price, whilst a road-legal* SR3 Tracksport has lapped the BBC's Top
Gear test circuit in 1 minute 15 seconds, eight seconds faster than it's nearest rival, the Pagani Zonda.
The same car lapped EVO magazine's test track in the wet, 11 seconds faster than a Porsche GT3's dry lap time.
At it's first attempt in 2002, the 1500cc SR3 narrowly missed being the fastest production car around the
historical 14-mile Nürburgring 'Nordschleife' circuit. In August 2003, the awesome SR3 Turbo was dispatched
to the German circuit, and on it's first - and only - flying lap, smashed the existing record by a massive 13 seconds.
On the road (in the UK only), the SR3 has also proved a sensation, providing superbike performance and
a head-turning presence that cannot be matched. Even Motorcycle News proclaimed that the Radical SR3-LM
was nearly as good as a Ducati 999s!
A host of design and technical innovations are incorporated into the SR3. The removable lightweight
bodywork looks spectacular from every angle. The patented suspension system gives incredible grip and
drivability. A range of Powertec engines provide fearsome performance with high levels of reliability,
while four-pot calipers and ventilated disc brakes give eye-popping stopping power. The unique Quaife-built
drive system incorporates a slick and reliable reverse gear system, and a torque-bias limited-slip differential
for optimum power delivery.

Radical Trackdays
The combination of ever more Draconian road restrictions and the rapid growth of
highly professional trackday organizations, have resulted in the unprecedented
expansion of the trackday scene. Radical has responded to this phenomenon by
producing the first dedicated trackday car, the Radical SR3 Tracksport. Capable
of seating two large adults in comfort and safety, the SR3 Tracksport has
impeccable track manners, super-quick steering response, high levels of
aerodynamic and mechanical grip, perfect car balance and, more importantly, is
immense fun to drive.
This year, Radical have got together with EVO Magazine and On-Track, to provide
a full season of trackdays at top UK circuits. Driver training, technical
support and hospitality are available to all Radical's trackday customers at
these events.
The SR3 Tracksport is available with a range of options including a Single
Vehicle Approval (SVA) kit which transforms the SR3 into an immensely enjoyable,
extreme road car, known as the SR3-LM (UK only).
Radical Racing - Europe
The SR3 Supersport can be raced competitively throughout Europe at all levels of
Motorsport. Radical's own Enduro and Euro Championships in the UK and mainland
Europe have a dedicated class for the SR3, and provides some of the closest
racing to be found in Motorsport. The Radical Enduro championship comprises up
to twelve rounds throughout Europe, at circuits which include Silverstone,
Donington Park International, Brands Hatch Grand Prix, Spa Francorchamps and Val
de Vienne.
Since it's launch in 2002, the SR3 Supersport has been winning races and
shattering lap records at race meetings throughout Europe, and is currently the
fastest one-make sportscar in the world, lapping circuits at near Formula 3
times.
Racing in the USA
Based near Road Atlanta in Georgia, Radical Motorsport, Inc. attends track days
and racing events across the country and serves the needs of both Radical
customers and distributors. Radical D- and C-Sport race cars have been winning
SCCA National and Regional races since 2000 - most notably claiming two DSR
podium finishes at the 2001 Valvoline Runoffs, and two victories in successive
years at the prestigious June Sprints at Elkhart Lake. In 2001, Radical 1-liter
DSR racers won fifteen SCCA National events - more than any other manufacturer.
In 2002, Radical was awarded the title of D-Sport Manufacturer of the Year.
The recently homologated SR3 Supersport is now proving a popular and competitive car to race in the SCCA C-Sport prototype category, both at Regional and National levels. It is also ideally suited for competition in the increasingly fashionable two, four- and six-hour west coast endurance races.
Racing in Bahrain
Based at the hi-tech Bahrain International Circuit, our Middle East distributor, GulfSport, will be supporting Radical customers from Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Jordan and the Lebanon.
Motor sport services company, GulfSport, will organize a ten event, twenty round, 'Gulf Radical Championship' starting 8th October 2004. Their customers will be offered exclusive testing and driver development facilities every Wednesday from 1st September on the awesome Bahrain F1 Circuit.
This premier multi-national one make championship uses the 'Gulf Radical SR3 Supersport' - a specific race configuration of the SR3 designed for local conditions.
GulfSport customers, from the Gulf countries, and further overseas, will enjoy a comprehensive car storage, preparation and trackside support service to ensure they maximize their time and enjoyment whilst testing and racing this fantastic two seater sports racing car at what will be the world's best winter F1 destination.
Radical SR3 Safety
The SR3 sets new standards of safety for the discerning club racer and trackday enthusiast. In addition to the major benefit of having enclosed wheels, Radical's spaceframe chassis incorporates a range of safety features. An integral roll cage complies with the latest FIA, MSA and SCCA regulations and the high-strength footwell incorporates an adjustable pedal box, positioned to the rear of the front wheel centre line.
Like it's well-proven predecessor, the Prosport, the SR3's chassis is exceptionally strong, and is in fact, some 30% torsionally stiffer. Mounted on the front of the chassis is an optional aluminum crash box, designed to absorb energy in the event of a frontal accident. Side impact protection comprises the well-proven crushable side pods, but with the addition of integral energy-absorbing crash bars.
